FROM OUR BUSINESS OFFICE:

As of right now, the Local Earned Income Tax filing deadline has NOT been extended beyond the April 15, 2021 due date.  While the PA Department of Revenue and the IRS announced that income tax filing deadlines for their 2020 final returns are extended to May 17, 2021, no such change has been made for the Local Earned Income Tax Filing deadline. Keystone will continue to monitor announcements from the Governor’s Office, the State Legislature and the Department of Community and Economic Development regarding any potential change in the filing deadline.   Absent notice from at least one of these entities, the April 15th deadline cannot change as it is set by statute.  Returns filed after this date will be assessed statutory penalty, interest and costs regardless of extensions by the PA Department of Revenue and the IRS.

Any questions regarding the filing deadline should be directed to Keystone’s redesigned website, www.KeystoneCollects.com, or to Keystone’s Taxpayer Services Department at (888) 328-0565.

Lenape Chamber
LENAPE CHAMBER ENSEMBLE YOUTH CONCERTS -
Video Recorded Concerts for Music Education

The Lenape Chamber Ensemble is pleased to present for education of music students through high school live video/recordings of our most recent chamber music concerts.

The high definition video/recordings, made possible through a grant from the Lehigh Valley and Arthur Judson Foundations, are available at our home website: Please direct your attention to the children's/youth concert page.

http://lenapechamberensemble.org/children

The concerts feature personal introductions by our musicians, who are highly acclaimed international artists.  Their friendly insights provide students with approachable context to understand the music.

Currently posted is our popular Fall Baroque concert.  This presentation features Bach, Handel, Gabrieli, Telemann and Purcell for violins, viola, cello and harpsichord.

Later this Spring, we will be notifying you of the posting of our most recent March concert highlighting works of Dvorak, Respighi and Mozart including piano, violins, viola, cello and double bass.

Please enjoy sharing these wonderful presentations with your children.  We invite and welcome any feedback you may have to enhance this educational opportunity.

SUMMER EMPLOYMENT:

Looking for summer work?  Jerry Fritz Garden Design is seeking to expand our team with hard working individuals.  We are an award winning landscape design & build firm, providing high quality landscape design and fine garden maintenance to our very loyal clients.  We are looking to fill positions on our landscape team, servicing our clients (not at the retail nursery, since Linden Hill Gardens is closed).

Please email [email protected] with interest and include work history/ experience as well as 3 references.

FROM OUR FRIENDS AT WORTHWHILE THRIFT:

You probably already know that the revenue from Worthwhile Thrift is funneled into our programs for survivors, but what you might not know is that Worthwhile Thrift also functions as a place of employment for the women in The Well program.  It's where they get their feet wet in the resume-building, application process, and employment training skills as they work their way through the program.

To help support the store, Worthwhile Wear is making April "Customer Appreciation Month."  In the final week of April, we will be raffling off a gift basket.  Basically, for every $20 spent at the thrift store, a customer can fill out a slip to be entered to win the gift basket.

This is where you come in!

If you're interested in rallying a team or working alone, would you like to assemble a themed gift basket to be raffled out at the store in the final week of April?  If so, we're looking for something valued at about $150 with a theme of your choosing (remember, the basket will be awarded to a Worthwhile Thrift customer, not to the women at The Well).  With your completed basket, we'll also need a list of the basket contents with an estimated value of each item.

Attached is a list of themed baskets we've used in the past, but you are encouraged to brainstorm.  Gift Basket Ideas

Let me know if you are interested.  The drop off location for the completed baskets is: 5835 Easton Road, Plumsteadville, PA 18949.
