Class of 2021

TIME TO BRUSH UP ON YOUR SINGING OF THE PSD ALMA MATER!  Graduation Info for the Class 2021 from Principal Heffernan:

During Wednesday evening’s School Board meeting (3/3/21), Dr. O’Connell informed the School Board that we would like to hold a FACE TO FACE, socially distant graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021 that meets all the requirements of the Bucks County Department of Health and the School District Health and Safety Plan.

I am excited to inform you that the graduation date for the Class of 2021 will be Friday, June 11th at 5:30 PM in Walter T. Rohrer Stadium. The rain date will be Saturday, June 12th at 11:00 AM and if we need a second rain date, it will be Sunday, June 13th at 11:00 AM.

This year’s graduation ceremony will allow our graduates to celebrate as a class and be recognized, in-person, for their accomplishments. However, we will need to meet stadium capacity limits and follow all orders, which may change. Currently, we plan to give graduating seniors 2 tickets each for family members to attend the ceremony. The graduation will be live streamed for those who cannot be in the stadium. Keep in mind the spectator limits may change based upon any new orders from the Governor.

During the next few months, we will be planning a first class graduation and celebration for the Class of 2021!  As information is confirmed and details are developed, I will notify you of the updated plan.  Stay tuned for more information!

PCF IS CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF SUPPORT IN PALISADES SCHOOL DISTRICT AND COMMUNITY!

For the past 25 years, the Palisades Community Foundation has helped our community with funding for numerous projects such as the stadium lighting, the all weather track, and murals at each of our schools...just to name a few. PCF also gives many grants and scholarships to our students and teachers to help fund various projects and activities throughout the year.

We also give back to our community members in need. This past year, PCF offered hundreds of free dinners each week over the summer to our neighbors and friends who were negatively impacted by the COVID -19 economic disruptions. Also this year, we purchased gifts and gift cards for families needing some extra help over the holidays!
We have several projects in the works to support our 3 pillars (arts, education and wellness). We are also working on a special event to celebrate our 25th anniversary on September 12, 2021 - SAVE THE DATE - for an afternoon of fun to honor the work done by this organization. Stay tuned for more details!

Exciting News!  EF Global Citizen Scholarship Award:

The tour company used by our World Language Teachers (EF), held a competition last Spring that one of our current PHS students and one of our PHS alumna won!  Both Camila O'Donnell (a current 10th grader) and Crysta O'Donnell (a 2018 PHS grad, currently at the University of Scranton as an International Studies, Hispanic Studies and French Language Major in their Honors Program) submitted separate and individual video entries highlighting the importance of worldwide travel and what it meant to be a Global Citizenship.  Apparently out of many entries around the entire country, each of the O'Donnell sisters succeeded in winning one of these $1,000 Global Citizenship scholarships!  As the email states, their " insight, curiosity, passion, and unique perspective" blew away the judges! Anyone who knows these 2 young ladies will not be surprised one bit! We couldn't be more proud of them! They embody the curiosity that we attempt to instill in our students about the world around them that truly makes them Global Citizens!
