FREE COVID TESTING FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE SYMPTOMATIC:  The Bucks County Health Department has recently expanded free COVID-19 testing to now include children who have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 for at least 24 Hours.  This is in addition to school employees and contractors already eligible to be tested at these sites.  Every child must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian who will be responsible for administering the nasal swab to the child.  An updated flyer with location addresses, hours of operations, and registration information is attached below.  We thank the Bucks County Health Department for expanding this free COVID-19 testing for symptomatic children in Palisades School District!

RECEIVED A GIFT CARD FOR THE HOLIDAYS THAT YOU WON'T USE?  CONSIDER DONATING IT TO PCF FOR REDISTRIBUTION TO FAMILIES IN NEED:

This is a great way to help families in our community without spending your money to do so.  If you have a gift certificate that will go unused by you, why not donate it to the Palisades Community Foundation for redistribution to another family who would welcome the assistance!  Gift cards can be mailed to PO Box 194; Kintnersville, PA  18930 OR drop off at the high school main office between 7AM and 3PM (please mark attention Donna Holmes).  Thank you for your consideration!

BRICK SALES RETURN!

Use this P.C.F. Brick Application Form to purchase your commemorative brick which will be installed at the Walter T. Rohrer Stadium at PHS.  We have found a mason to help us get these bricks (past and present) installed!  Thanks for your consideration and for supporting PCF!

In the past PCF has helped our community with funding for numerous projects such as the stadium lighting, the all weather track, and murals at our schools...just to name a few. PCF also gives many grants to our students and teachers to help fund various projects and activities throughout the year.

We also give back to our community members in need. This past year, PCF offered hundreds of free dinners each week over the summer  to our neighbors that were negatively impacted by the COVID -19 economic disruptions and we have purchased gifts and gift cards for families needing some extra help over the holidays!
To make a donation to PCF, please visit PCF's new website

CODE BLUE:

Greetings, everyone!   Here’s our call for February 12-14, 2021:

We don’t have any groundhog recipe suggestions for this weekend— but alas, we won’t have rest for the weary either, as we’re likely to see a series of fast-moving storms come through our area over the next few days bringing not only a little more snow (around 3” or so), but sleet and ice as well.  The warmest day of our weekend looks to be Sunday, but even then, the highs will barely get to freezing, and our lows will be solidly below our Code Blue threshold.  So our Code Blue Shelter at the Quakertown Masonic Lodge will be OPEN Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, Feb. 12-14.  Our doors will be open from 8:30-11:00 PM.

If you need further information on the ministries of Advocates for the Homeless of Upper Bucks, please contact Pr Dave Heckler @ 570.470.0716.  Thanks!
