Emergency Notification System

SCHOOL MESSENGER
Emergency Notification System

Enabled July 1, 2012

We are using the School Messenger Emergency Notification System to provide families and staff with important information. For now, this system will be used to inform you of snow closings, early dismissals and school delays. We will also utilize this system as we see necessary for other important information about our schools. Please note the following:

  • EMERGENCY phone calls will be made to all numbers provided-an emergency includes early dismissal or other event that would result in students being dismissed unexpectedly. We will make 4 attempts for each number provided.
  • School cancellations (made in the morning) will be placed to the primary number which is normally the home phone number only unless it has been replaced by a cell number. Again, we will make 4 attempts to contact this primary number-calls answered by an answering machine or voicemail system are considered completed calls. Palisades School District will appear on your caller ID.
  • Attendance calls from the middle school and high school will go to the primary number unless otherwise designated.
  • Other "courtesy" calls will be placed as non-emergency calls to the primary number provided and Palisades School District will appear in the caller ID.

Please e-mail [email protected] if you have any questions related to this system. You may make changes to your child's record by notifying their school office in writing.
