WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
PHS Principal, Rich Heffernan was in attendance for the Bethlehem Police Department's Ceremony this week to honor police officers serving the Bethlehem community, past and present. Rich's father was an officer who served and received posthumous recognition for his service.
At the ceremony, Rich met up with Jeremy Rimmer, a former PHS student who was being awarded as Officer of the Year for the City of Bethlehem. He and his wife, Sherri (Litzenberger) Rimmer - a PHS graduate - were present with their family to celebrate Jeremy's recognition. Congratulations to the Rimmer/Litzenberger families and to Jeremy on his award!
Cross Country:
Thomas Smigo earned the title for the 4th time as Colonial League Champion for Cross Country! Congrats to Thomas on this victory and amazing accomplishment!
Fall Sports Update:
The Field Hockey team, Girls Soccer team, and the Boys Soccer team all qualified for the District XI playoffs! The Girls Soccer team will host a first-round game on Monday, 10/24 in the high school stadium. The Field Hockey team will likely play on Wednesday, 10/26. The site and opponent have not been announced. Be sure to follow all District XI playoff information and results at this link.
This just in from the District XI Chairman...Palisades has a bye for the first round of Boy's Soccer. We play on Thursday. We will play the winner of the Northern Lehigh / Schuylkill Haven game which is being played on Tuesday. The game will be played at a neutral site. Time TBD
As we wrap-up the Girls Tennis season, congratulations to Cora Anderson and Jasmine Catanzaro who completed qualified and competed in the District XI Doubles team competition at Lehigh University.

Marching Band Fundraiser - Gertrude Hawk Chocolate
The PHS Marching Band is fundraising with a Gertrude Hawk chocolate sale. The sale runs through November 7th. The money raised will be used toward the band's many needs such as equipment and travel expenses. Orders will come in around the week of December 5th, just in time for Christmas.

This year's fall play "PUFFS" (Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic) is Friday, November 18th at 7PM and Saturday, November 19th at 2PM. The Palisades School District is joining the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Taskforce to participate in the Hold On You Matter Walk to Make A Difference event on Saturday, November 5. The walk will take place at Upper Bucks County Community College (UBCCC), located at 1 Hillendale Road in Perkasie PA. Registration and program starts at 12:30 pm, followed by the walk at 1:30 pm. Students, families, staff members, and community members are encouraged to attend this meaningful event.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10 am - 2 pm!
This year’s Take Back event will feature 48 public collection sites throughout the county. Simply drive up – or walk in – and drop in any unused, unneeded or expired medications for safe disposal. In addition to prescription medications, law enforcement officers will be collecting over-the-counter and pet medications, vitamins, vaping products and more. Plus, select sites throughout the county will be collecting medications and sharps and distributing Narcan on October 29!
