K-8 ART SHOW 2019 - BELATED SHOUT OUT TO SENORA DETERVILLE: Special thanks to our Elementary Spanish Teacher, Senora Deterville for arranging students to wear so many beautiful and colorful outfits at the Art Show last week. Also, thank you for providing the special snacks which added a taste of the culture to the evening! Your work, along with the work of Mrs. McNichol and Mrs. Denato took this event to a whole new level!
WHAT WILL MR DAVIS DO?
For the past 5 years, Mr. Scott Davis, Principal at Springfield Elementary School has done some crazy and interesting thing to get his students to be passionate about reading! This year is no different! Today, at a school wide assembly, Mr. Davis unveiled that he is willing to have his students and staff throw some pies at him if they have met their reading goals! That is how strongly he feels about promoting reading among students! Check out the slide show that was presented to his students today, which takes a look back at the lengths to which this man will go to promote reading!

Great Season Unified Track
Today, our Unified Track team will complete in their final meet of the year at Central Bucks East HS. The team is comprised of the following members: Nick Caldwell, Amanda Zaner, Alexandra Kaiser, Lily Fritz, Trevor Hammond, Dante Debartolo, Christopher Pompa, and Kassandra Mundhenk. The team members have been working hard and improving all season. Thus far, they have a combined total of 14 personal best records!
Spring Signing Day
During fall signing ceremony Stacey Badman, Lydia Bottelier, Nathan Haubert, and Amanda Zaner announced their college selections. This past week, 10 more of our senior student-athletes announced the colleges that they will be attending to continue their education and play college athletics. Boys Tennis places in District XI Doubles
Michael Swope and Gavin Kelly finished their tennis careers at Palisades with a second place finish in the District XI Doubles tournament. This finish caps an outstanding season for our Boys Tennis team! Congrats!

This evening event will be focused on the opioid crisis in Bucks County and across the nation. Matt will share his knowledge of this severe epidemic which he encounters each and every day in his office. The presentation will begin in the high school library at 7PM and allow for questions at the end of his one-hour presentation. All are welcome to attend! Beach Blast Sand Soccer Tournament: Beach Blast (June 29/30)/More Beach Blast (July 20/21) are soccer tournaments held on the beach in Wildwood, NJ. 3 game minimum, 5v5 and all players receive a wristband for the rides and waterparks good for Friday-Monday of the tournament weekend and a team tshirt. The cost is $105 per player. We're opening up registration to all interested players in the community.
Just coming to cheer us on? You can get in on the wristband deal as well! Family and friends can get ride/waterpark wristbands for $80. This is an amazing deal as the ride passes are usually about $65/day. Additional tshirts are available for $10.

The Riegelsville Public Library currently has an opening on its Board of Trustees for a Treasurer’s position. The candidate should have knowledge of accounting principles. The basic commitment of a board member involves active participation in meetings on the second Monday of each month. Last Weekend, Palisades Junior, Nick Caldwell, participated in the District XI AA swim meet as an independent swimmer. Nick had an exceptional meet swimming personal best times. Nick finished fourth in the 50 free swimming a 22.63 and fourth in the 100 free with a time of 49.24. Nick has earned his way to the State Swim Meet, March 13th & 14th, at Bucknell University. Please congratulate him and wish him the best of luck. Congratulations on an amazing season Nick!
