KUDOS TO MR. DYLAN FEDELL, RECEIPIENT OF THE 2024 PASR STOCK THE CLASSROOM GRANT:
At the most recent School Board Meeting, Mr. Dylan Fedell, Science teacher at Palisades High School was awarded a $5,000 grant from the PA Association of School Retirees (PASR) for his submission of an aquaponics project to be installed at PHS. The project incorporates hydroponics (plants groing without soil using nutrient-rich water) with farm-raised fish. Along with a partnership with the PA Fish and Boat Commission, students would raise trout to be later released in stocked trout waters in the Commonwealth.
Executive Director, Kristen Holjes, and PASR President, Mary K. Davis, expressed their heightened interest in this project based on Dylan's application submission for the grant. "This is a truly exceptional idea and one that we are happy to support," said Ms. Holjes during her remarks at the board meeting.
Dylan thanked the board, administration and students for their support throughout his tenure at Palisades. And, School Board President, Silvia LeBlanc thanked Mr. Fedell for "choosing Palisades High School as the place to share his talents as a teacher and a mentor." Mr. Fedell and his students will be working on the aquaponics project along with the other teachers as part of the science curriculum during the upcoming school year.

PCF is planning an exciting event on March 29th that we hope you can attend! As a little backstory...we are hoping to replace our beloved Pirate Ship at the Walter T. Rohrer Stadium at Palisades High School. The current ship, although in disrepair, is a quirky icon enjoyed by our community and envied by many! PCF is hoping to build a new structure that is attractive, sound and continues to serve as a rugged mascot for all ages in Palisades to enjoy! We are in the process of researching options to replace the current ship with a structure that will be safe and live on for more than just a few years. Purchase your tickets now to enjoy food, music, prizes and fun on the evening of Saturday, March 29th! Thank you for your continued support of PCF and we hope you share an enjoyable adult night out with neighbors and friends! We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to Mr. Justin Fachet - Teacher, 3rd Grade at Tinicum Elementary School
Last week, Mr. Fachet was surprised at an all-school assembly, alongside his wife and three children, to be named the Bucks County Grand Prize Winner of the Citadel Heart of Learning Award.
In addition to hearing just a few of the many nominations he received, Mr. Fachet was honored with a beautiful glass plaque and a check in the amount of $5,000. As the winner of this award for the entire county, Mr. Fachet's selection also means that Tinicum will receive $5,000 to support the students and programs.
Please join us in congratulating Mr. Fachet for this incredible honor. We're lucky to have him here as a Tinicum Tiger and as part of our larger Palisades community. (Photo: Mr. Fachet and his family accepting his award last week!)
