Patch 011025

PLEASE NOTE: You may have heard on the news recently that some schools using PowerSchool (a student information system) reported a data breach.  After an investigation by our Technology Director, Mr. Adams, and our support team at Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 (CLIU 20), a data breach has NOT been experienced at Palisades or any other school district that CLIU 20 manages.
New Years Resolutions

FROM OUR NURSES!  Here are a few ideas for New Year’s Resolutions for our young adults from which we can all benefit for a healthy and safe 2025!

I will drink more water

I will eat two fruit servings and two vegetable servings every day.

I will do 30 minutes of physical activity every day, even if it is only a walk.

I will get 8-10 hours of sleep every night.

I will leave my cell phone outside of my bedroom before I go to bed at night

When I feel upset or stressed out, I will take a break and find constructive ways to deal with it by exercising, reading, journaling, drawing, or talking through my problem with a trusted adult or friend.

I will treat others with respect and expect the same in return

I will resist peer pressure to try drugs, alcohol, and vaping.

I will always wear a seatbelt.

I will never text and drive.

Pennsylvania State Police Seeks Community Feedback as Part of CALEA Accreditation Process - The public is asked to participate in a brief online survey.

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is seeking valuable input from the community as part of its efforts to achieve accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

Beginning January 4 and running through January 25, PSP invites community members to participate in an online survey to provide feedback on the agency’s performance, professionalism, and community engagement. The survey is anonymous and aims to gather honest insights that will guide PSP in improving its services.

The survey can be accessed online at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YB8RF97

“Our pursuit of CALEA accreditation reflects our unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in public safety,” said Colonel Christopher Paris, Commissioner of the PSP. “This survey is an important opportunity for our community to share their perspectives and help us grow stronger together.”

The CALEA accreditation process evaluates public safety agencies against a set of internationally recognized best practices. Achieving accreditation demonstrates PSP’s dedication to fostering trust, maintaining high standards, and continuously improving its operations to serve Pennsylvania residents more effectively. The PSP achieved its initial CALEA accreditation in 1993 and has maintained accreditation since that time.
