Patch 102618

3 Hour Delay Notice

This notice is to let you know that we may (if needed this winter) execute a 3 Hour Delay in the event of a weather emergency.  This will allow ample time for our parking lots to be cleared and buses to prepare for student pick up.  The 3 Hour Delay would be invoked ONLY if needed in a more extreme situation.  We just didn't want you to be surprised if you received a call with this NEW delay announced during this winter.

FROM OUR COMMUNITY:

IN MEMORY OF JEN KELLER, PARENT VOLUNTEER AND ACTIVE MEMBER OF OUR COMMUNITY:  This note was sent on to us by her friends and family who asked to share this information with our community.

As you probably know Jen died on Monday, October 15th at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Chicago. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 3rd at 10AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Route 212, Pleasant Valley (across from the historical societies one room school). All are welcome to attend with refreshments following.  Jen was actively involved at Springfield Elementary, PALMS and in 4H.

The following is the notice that came from Sarah Gregory, Penn State Extension - Bucks Co., 4H extension educator:

Jen has been involved with Bucks County 4-H for over 30 years. She grew up in the 4-H horse program as a member of the Spurs N’ Burrs Equine Club. Once she aged out of 4-H she became a leader and has be one for the last 29 years, most recently for the Upper Bucks Adventure Club. In the fall of 2017 Jen began working as the Bucks County 4-H Equine Program Assistant and worked closely with our horse club members and leaders. She was an amazing asset to our program and always looked at how we could make the program better for the members. She had a kind heart, fun loving, and was always a joy to be around. She will be truly missed.
