Autism Awareness Puzzle Pieces at DN

APRIL IS AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH:

Special thanks to DN Teacher Kirsten Godiksen for sharing how students at Durham Nockamixon learned more about autism and are recognizing Autism Awareness Month!

Each homeroom was provided with a folder full of resources and activities compiled by Kirsten.  Each homeroom was given a blank puzzle piece to use to illustrate what they learned about Autism and to help spread awareness.  Finally, all the puzzle pieces were put together (pictured above)! Every child in the school helped to make this puzzle come to life while learning more about autism!  Thanks to our DN family for your work in bringing awareness to our students!  The DN PTA also purchased bracelets for our students as a reminder of what they have learned.  Thanks everyone!
