Patch 092520

Science Wing Photo

ATTENTION EVERYONE!  WHAT’S HAPPENING AT PHS?

We are excited to report that the science wing construction is winding down in time for the start of face to face instruction for our high school students to begin on Monday, October 5th!  As we reported previously, slightly more than 70% of students have chosen the face to face educational program.  This reduced number of students in the building will allow for maintained 6’ social distancing in high school classrooms.
For a sneak peak at the construction progress of the science wing, please click on this link from the presentation at last week's Facilities Meeting:

Wearing a Mask

Public Service Announcement on YouTube:  Wearing Your Mask Properly

Wear your Mask Correctly
*
Wash your hands before putting on your mask * Put it over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin * Try to fit it snugly against the sides of your face * Don’t touch the mask, and, if you do, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer to disinfect

Take Off Your Mask Carefully, When You’re Home
*  Untie the strings behind your head or stretch the ear loops
*  Handle only by the ear loops or ties
*  Fold outside corners together
*  Place the mask in the washing machine
*  Be careful not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing and wash your hands immediately after removing

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION REMINDER:  Thanks to everyone who has completed the Returning Student Registration Form for your child(ren).  This information MUST be completed each year for students regardless of educational program - face to face or cyber - please reference emails sent earlier for the link or contact [email protected] for a needed snapcode,  It is helpful if you put “snapcode” in the subject line.

New students who entered PSD this year do NOT need to complete this form; it was a part of the registration process for your child.

NOTE:  When making changes to your child(ren)’s emergency contact section, you must REMOVE and RE-ENTER the information for the emergency contact.  Also, please only list “emergency contacts” in that section - do not include parents/guardians who are already listed in another section of the form.  Sorry for the confusion this year, several software changes between the Returning Student Registration Form and PowerSchool (our student information system) have made this year a little more tricky.  Thanks for your patience and support.

SOON, WE WILL BEGIN TO COMMUNICATE USING UPDATED STUDENT INFORMATION ONLY!  This is a system change between our student information system and our communications system.  If you have NOT completed your Returning Student Registration Form, you will NOT be able to receive communications from our district as a result of a software update between the two systems.  Target date for switching over is mid-October.  This update will affect ALL communications from the district and buildings.  Please complete your Returning Student Registration Form today!
