Gifted Resources for Staff

Educating the gifted and talented students in our classrooms requires each of us to know and understand what is meant by the terms gifted and talented, to see the person beyond the label, to challenge and encourage and engage these individuals at a pace and level that allows them to access and "grow" their gifts and talents.

This page provides a variety of resources specific to our district and to each of us as we work with these students each day. If you have any resources to add, please email them to [email protected] and I will upload them.

Please feel free to copy as many of the forms listed below as needed! Both forms are required from each academic teacher of the gifted either at the end of the semester in which you teach the student or when the student's GIEP meeting date is nearing.

The Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE) and PSEA have worked together to provide teachers with the attached booklet that provides important background information and other links. Go to: Understanding and Challenging the Gifted - An Introduction for Teachers.
