Track & Field
Congratulations to the following Track & Field students-athletes that won medals at the Colonial League Championship meet:
Boys: Trevor Johnson- 2nd place high jump 5'11" and 2nd place triple jump- 43'9.5
Ashton Fitzgerald- 4th place 400 meters- 52.15
Girls: 4 x 400 relay- (Holly Pason, Izzy Carson, Abby Mount, Kaylei Gruver)- 4th- 4:17.02
Kaitlin Carson- Javelin- 2nd place- 109-9
Softball
The Softball team qualified for the Colonial League playoffs and will compete on Tuesday, 5/14 at Pates Park. Game time is 4:30 PM against an opponent to be determined.
Baseball
The Baseball team qualified for the Colonial League playoffs and will compete on Saturday, 5/11 at Salisbury HS versus Salisbury. Game time is 3:00 PM.

Graduation Date for the Class of 2024
The graduation date for the Class of 2024 will be Friday, May 31st at 5:30 PM in Walter T. Rohrer stadium. The rain date will be Saturday, June 1st at 10:00 AM. More information will be forthcoming.
Outstanding Students in Physics Education:
We are pleased to announce that three students from our physics classes to receive the AAPT (American Association of Physics Teachers) Outstanding Physics Student Awards.
This award is given to students who are dedicated to learning physical science in the classroom and consistently apply their knowledge to the real world. Soon, their names will be searchable through the American Association of Physics Teachers website (https://portal.aapt.org/portal/OutstandingStudent.aspx).

The Palisades High School Art Department is hosting an art exhibit on Thursday, May 23rd from 3pm-6pm in the high school library and art gallery. At 5:30pm we will have a short ceremony to honor the students whose work has been chosen to be a part of the Palisades High School Permanent Collection.
We have such a wonderful collection in our high school, it will be exciting to see what is added to our hallways!

NOW HIRING - High School Math Teacher:
The Palisades School District invites applications for the position of full-time, contracted, High School Math Teacher. Qualified applicants should be well versed in the pedagogy of math instruction, with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners. Additionally, the preferred candidate will have the ability to teach all levels of courses, including, but not limited to, advanced placement. The preferred candidate must also be collegial, adaptable, and student-centered in their approach to teaching and learning.
Please be aware that all applicants MUST submit the required documents as per the posting to be considered for an interview, which includes a copy of certification and clearances as per the guidelines below. Recent graduates who have not yet received their teaching certificate from PDE must include a letter from their college demonstrating proof of submission to PDE having met all requirements or a copy of receipt of application to PDE.
The position begins at the start of the 2024/25 school year. Additionally, the selected candidate will participate in the Palisades Induction Program (three days in mid-August, 2024).

For the treasure seekers and spring cleaners the White Elephant & Book Wagon tents are festival favorites. Get ready and clean out those closets, attics and bookshelves.
All SUNDAYS, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 10-1, volunteers are collecting all kinds of Books, paperback novels, hardcover books so bring your donations to the back of the barn at Tinicum Park. NO magazines, Reader's Digest or Encyclopedias/textbooks.
As for the White Elephant collection dates will take place on All Sundays in JUNE from 10 am- 12 noon by dropping off your donations at 226 East Dark Hollow Road in Pipersville, PA. Tools, vintage items, clever kitchen gadgets, home décor items and attic treasures will be accepted! (no baby cribs/strollers & no electronics & no exercise equipment)
So this month get into those closets, barns and attics and find some treasures to pass along AND join us on July 13th & 14th and have some fun - all for a great cause!
