Registration & Evaluations:

  • Enrollment documents are due annually to the Office of the Superintendent by August 1st.
  • End of year evaluations are due annually to the Office of the Superintendent by June 30th.
  • Students wishing to enroll in courses/classes within the district, enroll in the UBCTS, or participate on district sports teams or extracurriculars must complete the district enrollment procedure.  Enrollment can be started by visiting the New Students Registration Page of the website.  https://www.palisd.org/our_district/new_student_registration

Special Education Students:
Homeschool law requires that students identified as needing special education services, excluding those identified as gifted and/or talented, need to have their homeschool program approved by a teacher with a valid certificate from the Commonwealth to teach special education or a licensed clinical or certified school psychologist.  A written notification of such approval is required at enrollment each year with the notarized affidavit.

Graduation & Diplomas:
Homeschool law awards diplomas to home education graduates who complete the graduation requirements while enrolled in a Pennsylvania Home Education Program. Homeschool families have two options. 1.) a parent issued diploma  2.) a organization issued diploma.
Palisades School District does not issue diplomas to home education graduates.  The district does not allow home education students to walk at graduation ceremonies.
